2,691 new cases take Haryana's Covid-19 count to 1,08,952


CHANDIGARH: Haryana reported yet another spike of 2691 cases and record 28 deaths which took the state’s Covid-19 count to 108952 and 1120 deaths while bringing down the doubling rate to 26 days on Saturday.
Even the recovery of 2272 patients could not help. With a recovery rate rising to 79.07, total recoveries have gone upto 86150. With the Covid positivity rate rising to 6.62%, there are total 21682 active patients in the state out of which 389 are critical.
Gurugram topped the districts with maximum 360 cases while Panchkula recorded maximum 5 fatalities of the day. With new cases and two deaths, Gurugram’s tally has gone to 17437 with 159 deaths and 2780 active cases. Faridabad recorded second highest of 290 cases and two deaths. With 1838 active cases, the district reaches 17560 cases and 203 deaths.
Ambala recorded the third highest of 220 cases and three deaths and there the total has gone to 6910 with 70 deaths.
Panipat reported 164 cases and one death followed by 162 cases of Panchkula, 151 cases and one death of Hisar. Sonipat crossed the 7000 mark as 149 cases were reported followed by 147 cases and two deaths in Rohtak. Kurukshetra and Karnal reported 119 cases and two deaths each followed by 118 cases and one death in Sirsa and 101 cases in Rewari.
Jind reported 96 cases and two deaths followed by 91 cases in Kaithal. Mahendergarh reported 79 cases followed by 77 in Fatehabad. Yamunanagar reported 69 cases and two death followed by 61 cases and one death in Bhiwani.
Palwal reported 43 cases followed 42 in Jhajjar district 20 in Charkhi Dadri and 13 cases in Nuh district.
With the testing rate of 65145 tests per million per day total 16.51 lakh persons have been tested so far. There are total 125847 persons in quarantine as total 108997 persons have completed the surveillance.
