Arrest me or quash FIR against me in 3 days: MLA Balraj Kundu

ROHTAK: A day after the registration of a cheating case against him, independent MLA from Meham constituency of Rohtak, Balraj Kundu, reached a local police station with his supporters on Sunday to protest. He warned the police to either arrest him in the case and or quash the FIR within three days.
For two hours, drama prevailed at the Civil Lines police station in Rohtak after Kundu staged a sit-in with his several supporters. He retreated only after an assurance of Rohtak superintendent of police (SP) Rahul Sharma to get the matter investigated thoroughly.
On Saturday, Kundu was booked on the complaint of his former business partner Narender Singh, who accused him for not paying back Rs 10.5 crore.
Kundu had rebelled from BJP after he was denied party ticket for the 2019 assembly elections. However, he won as an independent and announced to support the BJP government.
Addressing mediapersons on Sunday, Kundu threatened to withdraw support from the state government if chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar did not get a high-level probe conducted within one month against former minister Manish Grover, whom he accused of corruption during his tenure as cooperative minister. “I will raise this issue in assembly session to apprise the government of scandals done by Grover,” he said. Kundu alleged that large-scale irregularities were done in sugar mills in weighing at the behest of former minister Grover. He alleged Grover’s role in local community centre tendering process.
