Bank staffer shot at by 3 miscreants in Ambala


AMBALA: A bank official has been allegedly shot at by three miscreants near Adhoi village in Ambala.
Nishant of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh (UP), who is posted as a postal credit officer, was on a two-wheeler when three miscreants shot at him near Adhoi village in Ambala and fled away with a bag which was empty. A bullet pierced through Nishant’s thigh. Presently, he is undergoing treatment at MMU, Hospital in Mullana.
“The miscreants shot at Nishant and fled with a bag thinking that it may have cash, but the bag was empty. He is out of danger,” said inspector Hamir Singh of Barara police station.
A case against three miscreants under Sections 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and 25-54-59 (punishment for certain offences and renewal of licenses) of the Arms Act has been registered and further investigation is being done.
