Covid-19: 12 deaths take toll to 100; 542 fresh cases take tally to 7,722 in Haryana


CHANDIGARH: Death toll in Haryana reached 100 as 12 new deaths reported on Monday. The state also saw highest single-day spike of 514 new cases being reported in last 24 hours, taking the total in the state to 7,722.
562 people were discharged in last 24 hours, taking recovery rate to 46.15. Now, the state has a total 4,057 active cases. Of the total deaths, 68 are male and 32 are female. While, in overall patient tally, 5,293 are male and 2429 are female.
Monday’s count has pushed the Covid-19 positive and death rate to 4.19% and 1.30% respectively.
Gurugram continues top all the tables of the state. The district recorded maximum 183 cases, six deaths, 511 recoveries and discharges in 24 hour. Now, Gurugram has a total of 1,664 active cases. Gurugram is followed by Faridabad with 128 cases and five deaths.
Sonipat reported 63 new cases, 21 new cases each were reported from Rohtak and Bhiwani and 18 cases each had come from Rewari and Karnal. 13 cases were reported from Mahendergarh.
10 cases have come from Fatehabad and nine cases and one death have come from Jhajjar district. 8 cases have come from Hisar and five cases have come from Sirsa district. 4 cases each have come from Ambala and Kurukshetra.
Three cases have come from Panipat district and two cases each have come from Nuh,Jind and Kaithal. One case has come from Panchkula district.
With 1,89,914 the testing rate has gone up further to 7,492 tests per million per day. Out of these 1,76,714 were found to be negative. As many as 52618 persons have completed the quarantine period while 37,467 persons are under surveillance.
