Gurugram: Eight illegal structures razed in Bandhwari

Gurgaon: Continuing its drive against illegal farmhouses and other construction, the enforcement team of the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) demolished eight illegal structures in Bandhwari on Friday. These include four farmhouses, two five-storeyed buildings and two under-construction buildings in the area.
A team headed by MCG joint commissioner Hariom Attri, along with other officials, in the presence of police demolished these illegal structures.
“The area where we carried out the demolition drive on Friday comes in the Aravali region, where construction is not allowed. The owners were issued show-cause notices and were given time to vacate the premises before the demolition drive was carried out,” Attri said.
Officials said that the survey of the area to identify illegal structures is still going on and as soon as other such illegal farmhouses and structures are identified, they will be razed too. “All illegal farmhouses and structures in Gwalpahari, Ghata and Bandhwari area will be demolished soon,” Attri added.
MCG has formed enforcement teams for all zones to identify illegal structures and carry out demolition drives in their respective areas.
