Haryana: 17 cured of Covid-19, nine new cases in Ambala district


AMBALA: Seventeen patients got cured of Covid-19 and discharged from hospital after they reported negative while nine fresh cases came to light in Ambala district on Tuesday, said district civil surgeon Dr Kuldeep Singh.
“With these updates, the total tally of positive cases reached 292 in Ambala district, out of which, 177 patients got discharged, three patients died and 112 are active cases”, said Dr Kuldeep.
Giving details about fresh cases, Dr Kuldeep said, “Nine new cases which reported positive on Tuesday include a man (50) of Shanti Nagar, Ambala Cantt; three contacts of a positive patient from a single family including two women (39, 33) and a boy (4) of Housing Board Colony, Ambala Cantt; a boy (1) of Shanti Nagar, Ambala Cantt is also a contact of a positive patient; a man (25) of Chanderpuri Colony, Ambala Cantt another contact of positive patient; two more contacts of a positive patient include a girl (13) and a woman (63) of Housing Board Colony, Ambala Cantt; and ninth is a man (38) of Model Town, Ambala City.”
“Also, 17 patients got cured and discharged from hospital on Tuesday”, added Dr Kuldeep.
“So far, a total of 13,516 samples have been collected for Covid-19 testing, out of which; 12,971 tested negative, 253 reports are awaited and 292 tested positive in Ambala district. Also, a total of 11,031 samples have been collected per 10 lakh population in Ambala”, further added Dr Kuldeep.
