Haryana: 5 held for murdering man in Ambala


AMBALA: Police have arrested five people for allgedly stabbing a man to death and injuries three of his family members during a group clash at Baragaon village in Naraingarh block of Ambala district on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Hem Singh (62) of Baragaon and those injured include his sons Rohit and Ankush and his nephew Ravinder Kumar of the same village.
Naraingarh police station in-charge Gurmail Singh said, “the arrested accused are Karan alias Monu, Narpat, Ranjaur, Chauhal and Randeep of Baragaon village. On Tuesday, they were produced in the district court, which sent them to a two-day police remand for recovery of weapons used in the crime.”
On the complaint of Hem’s nephew Ravinder Kumar, a case has been registered against eight accused Karan, Narpat, Ranjaur Singh, Husan Pal, Chauhal Singh, Parmal Singh, Happy alias Vishpal and Randeep, all residents of the same village.
They have been booked under Section 148 (rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly), 302 (punishment for murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons), and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Naraingarh police station on Monday.
