Haryana: Ambala reports 114 new Covid-19 cases


AMBALA: The district on Monday recorded 114 fresh positive cases of Covid-19, increasing the case tally to 3,842, said deputy civil surgeon Dr Sanjeev Singla.
“Of the 114 fresh cases, 63 are from Ambala Cantt, 33 from Ambala City, nine from Chourmastpur, four from Mullana, three from Barara and one each from Naraingarh and Shahzadpur,” said Dr Singla.
As many as 45 patients were discharged during the day, taking the recovery count to 3,250, he said.
“With the recovery rate of 84.59%, the case tally reached 3,842 in Ambala, of which 3,250 patients got discharged, 34 died and 558 are active cases,” he said.
Ambala to increase to increase beds, ICUs at both civil hospitals
Dr Singh said, “In a meeting of the senior medical officers of the civil hospitals at Ambala City and Cantt, it has been decided to increase number of beds and intensive care units (ICUs) at both these hospitals for coronavirus patients. The required infrastructure would be purchased very soon.”
