CHANDIGARH: Nuh district gave a sigh of relief for health authorities who were continued to be disappointed as 22 new more cases were found in Haryana which took state total tally to 647. Besides Gurugram, other districts from where fresh cases were reported include Faridabad, Sonipat, Jhajjar, Panipat, Jind and Fatehabad.
Maximum of nine cases came from Gurugram which is now topping the table with 126 cases. Meanwhile, in Haryana a total 14 Covid-19 patients, which included four from Nuh district were discharged. Now Haryana has total 360 active cases.
A 28-year-old labourer who had died in Panipat on Wednesday was also found to be positive. With this the Covid-19 deaths in state have gone upto 8.
The health authorities heaved a sigh of relief as the last batch of four tablighis who had been tested positive till April 15 were discharged from CCovid-19 hospital of Nuh. With this all the 57 Tablighis who were tested positive have been discharged and are sent in further quarantine.
Now Nuh has a total of two active cases who have been found positive in past one week.
Notably, Nuh was the first hotspot of Haryana as the number of COVID cases in the district had reached 57 till April 15.
Dr Virender Yadav, the civil surgeon of Nuh gives credit of the recovery of patients to his medicos and para medicos in Nalhar medical college whiich has been designated as Covid-19 hospital.
“Our fight is still on and we are making all efforts to ensure that the cases don’t go up due to effective monitoring etc. Those discharged today are also sent into quarantine for further 14 days,’’ he said.
Meanwhile, bulletin revealed that 49,746 persons have been tested so far out of which 43974 are tested negative. While ,22494 persons have completed the quarantine period. Notably, the testing rate in Haryana has further gone up to 1962 tests per million and doubling rate of cases has come down to 8 days.
