Three isolated in Ambala, 38 foreign return residents untraced


AMBALA: Three persons including a 2-year-old boy with travel histories to Canada and Dubai have been isolated by the health officials in Ambala on Saturday and their samples have been sent for inspection told Dr Kuldeep Singh.
“On Saturday, we have collected three samples of residents with travel histories to Canada and Dubai. A nearly 40-year-old woman along with her 2-year-old child returned from Canada on March 19 and both have been isolated at the civil hospital Ambala City and their samples were sent for inspecting coronavirus to PGIMER, Chandigarh. Another 13-year-old child who traveled to Dubai and returned to India on March 4 has been isolated and his samples have been sent for inspection to Chandigarh”, added Dr Kuldeep.
All samples of Ambala negative so far
“So far, all 8 samples sent up to Friday from Ambala have tested negative. The results of three samples sent on Friday tested negative including a 64-year-old woman with Dubai travel history, a 29-year-old man with Spain travel history and a doctor on OPD duty who complained of illness, cough and cold symptoms”, added Dr Kuldeep.
38 foreign return residents untraced
Dr Kuldeep said, “Till Saturday, we have received a list of 494 residents of Ambala who returned from foreign countries and 38 from them are not from Ambala district, as their addresses are wrongly mentioned as of Ambala district in their passport details. Till Saturday, we still have to reach 120 residents from the list that we received on Thursday and Friday. Our teams are out on the field to reach these pending persons 120.”
