Two of Ambala with travel history to Spain, Dubai isolated


AMBALA: Two residents of Ambala with travel histories to Spain and Dubai have been isolated at the civil hospital, Ambala Cantonment on Friday, told Ambala civil surgeon (CMO) Dr Kuldeep Singh.
Dr Kuldeep told, “A 29-year-old man who had traveled to Spain on March 5 and returned to India on March 15 has been isolated at a ward in Ambala Cantonment on Friday and his samples have been sent for inspection at the PGIMER, Chandigarh.”
Giving information about the second person, Ambala Cantonment civil hospital senior medical officer (SMO) Dr Pooja told, “A 64-year-old woman has a travel history of Dubai and she came back to India on February 24. Her 13-year-old grandson also has a travel history of Dubai and he came back to India on March 4. The woman has been isolated taking into consideration high-risk factors as she suffers from diabetes, hypertension and some kidney problem and her immune system is weak. The woman has shown some symptoms and some infection has reached her chest as well. Therefore, considering all the facts she has been isolated and her samples have been sent to PGIMER, Chandigarh for inspection.”
“The woman’s grandson complained of cough and fever and he has been given antibiotics and presently he is home quarantined under our observation”, added Dr Pooja.
